Helping to prevent pedestrian collisions!
Collisions between man and machine can be catastrophic. Operatives on foot working alongside plant are at risk, especially at night when using hearing protection and in dimly lit areas.
Marking out a visual exclusion zone with distinctive lighting, can help to prevent these potentially lethal accidents.
A bright beam of light is projected onto the floor behind and to the sides of the planer alerting pedestrians of the oncoming vehicle well in advance. Because the light moves with the planer, onlookers are easily warned of the vehicle moving in their direction.
These lights where first used on folk trucks to warn other of moving plant coming from behind obstacles as pictured below.
