The company management team has over 100 years’ experience in the planing industry and have all committed to a continued development programme as shown in qualifications and memberships achieved: FIAT, MIAT, MCIHT, IOSH, Bsc Hons C.Eng. to name but a few.
Ian Chattington
Managing Director
Originally trained as a Quantity Surveyor with AC Lloyd (C.Eng.) Ltd, Ian moved to Asfare Ltd as a Surfacing Supervisor/QS, worked his way up and ended his career there as M.Director before starting Power Plane Ltd in 1996. With overall responsibility for all aspects of the business he still enjoys the big boys toys and is always happiest finding better solutions to on-site problems.

Dean Spoor
Commercial Director
Dean has vast experience within the road planing industry, having first started in surfacing with ARC eastern back in the day before refocussing into planing when cold milling was in its infancy. He operated planers of all sizes, and showing aptitude he soon progressed through the ranks, taking his knowledge to various companies before coming to Power Plane in 2009 and joining the board in 2010.

Jordan Chattington
Operations Director
Jordan was born into the planing industry shortly after Ian Chattington, his father, incorporated Power plane in 1996. After leaving education there is no better person to lead the operations side of Power plane. With the support of the team and family he is well on his journey to take Power Plane in to the future. He has a keen interest in the value of people and the importance of innovation to keep Power Plane as a market leader in the UK.

Guy Stripp
Director & Accountant
Guy started with Power plane in 1997 after having family connections with the first Cold milling companies in the UK, Asfare. He has a wealth of experience having worked in transport for many years, but after studying accountancy some years ago he has progressed to become our Accounts Director.
Jayne Preston
Accounts
Jayne started her career in the banking sector with Lloyds Bank. After a career break to raise three sons, she then joined Power plane in 2003 as accounts assistant. Since then she’s grown with the company in the ever expanding accounts department and now leads the accounts, HR and Payroll for the workforce that is 100% PAYE.
Wesley Smith
Logistics and QA Manager
Wesley is a key member of the team at Power Plane. Starting in 2001 as an operations assistant, he has gained lots of experience within the company over the years, and built some lasting relationships within the industry. Recently has been promoted to the transport manager role, having gained the relevant qualifications. Wesley is now an integral part of the QA & Management system here at Power Plane.

Coordinator
Having previously worked for Amazon in the USA in purchasing and logistics, Zin is focused on the movement of orders and hiring other resources to help ensure everything runs smoothly.
